Compostable Farm Day exists to strengthen our relationship with local ecosystems. By encouraging people to engage with all five senses—to see an orchard, touch a compost pile, hear ducks chattering, taste freshly picked produce, and speak with growers of all levels—we aim to create an experience for the community that is not only fun, family-friendly, and educational but also promotes a sense of belonging and interconnectedness in our natural world. While on the farm, attendees have the opportunity to experience the entire food system, from how humans interact with it to how it returns to the earth and transforms into something new.
